Year of the Dog: Celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year in Disneyland

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Today is the Chinese New Year, so I wanted to share how lucky we were to experience the celebration in Disneyland a few weeks back.  It is the Year of the Dog (and if you know me, you know I LOVE dogs!) so it was great to be able to experience the festivities in the happiest place on Earth. Located on the pier in front of Mickey's Fun Wheel, there were marketplaces for food from countries that celebrate the Chinese New Year, including Korea, Vietnam, and China. There was also a very beautiful light and water show called Hurry Home preceding World of Color which was a great background while enjoying the eats that I got from the marketplace!  To be honest, there wasn't a big selection for vegetarian/vegan (you can see the full menu here ) but the "Yachae Mandu - 야채만두"Steamed Vegetable Dumplings with Sesame-Garlic Soy Sauce from the Korea Marketplace were amazing! Friday Favorites: Volume 5

Last weekend/this week kind of got away from me super quickly. I meant to write my last Italy blog post AND get some more Disney posts up, but here we are at Friday and it is simply time for another Friday Favorites. And it is a doozy. Almond Butter and Jelly Sandwiches You might be thinking, "Alli, is something wrong with you?" but alas, I am speaking my truth.  This is an underrated lunch that can really be a polarizing topic to discuss. Everyone has THEIR favorite way of making this classic but I'm going to share my way with you. I've been obsessed with bringing PB&J + AB&J to work lately. First of all, because I'm on a budget/trying to save/would rather spend my money on moonstone necklaces (see below), etc. Secondly, because they are super underrated. Escape to Italia: Firenze in March Part 1

This is your part one of our Italian holiday recap! So sit back, grab an espresso and enjoy! Florence is located in the Tuscany region of Italy. Our flight was in and out of Rome, so our first step after landing was getting on the train and taking the trip north east. We grabbed caffe and were on our way. It was generally pretty easy to navigate and once we got to Florence our hotel was only a hop, skip and a jump away from the station! Hotel Cosimo de Medici's entrance was hidden in a nondescript alley in a section of town filled with plenty of eateries, making it a great place for a group of weary and hungry travelers. We walked out of the hotel after dropping our bags and found only a few steps away an adorable little eatery called Braciere Malatesta.
