Friday Favorites: Volume 5

Last weekend/this week kind of got away from me super quickly. I meant to write my last Italy blog post AND get some more Disney posts up, but here we are at Friday and it is simply time for another Friday Favorites. And it is a doozy.

Almond Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
You might be thinking, "Alli, is something wrong with you?" but alas, I am speaking my truth.  This is an underrated lunch that can really be a polarizing topic to discuss. Everyone has THEIR favorite way of making this classic but I'm going to share my way with you.
I've been obsessed with bringing PB&J + AB&J to work lately. First of all, because I'm on a budget/trying to save/would rather spend my money on moonstone necklaces (see below), etc. Secondly, because they are super underrated.
Now, I've not quite found the perfect bread for my sandwiches yet so if anyone can help me out I'd love to hear. Brian went shopping this week so I didn't even get a wheat variety... and it was a little thick and bland for my taste. I like a sturdy wheat break. Might try Ezekial this week but the pieces are so small...
Anyway back to the good stuff. I got this amazing Almond Butter on Thrive Market. The classic Almond vs. Peanut debate, am I right? I honestly like peanut butter better but I'm trying to be a tiny bit healthy here so I've switched to the almond and I don't hate it! My favorite jam flavor is apricot. I also tried raspberry this week (didn't love) and I know in the past I have enjoyed blueberry so I'm keeping my eye out for one to grab as well.
Also, in the name of being eco-friendly, I am using a reusable sandwich holder. It is plastic so I'm looking for alternative methods (found a few on Thrive that I'm considering).

littlebond
A few weeks ago, I ordered a necklace from an Etsy shop called littlebond. It was
moonstone and gold and just the perfect, dainty little piece of jewelry. I have been TRYING to do my best to shop more consciously and this shop actually donates some of its proceeds to Hope for Justice, an organization that works to rescue and restore the lives of human trafficking victims across the world.
I absolutely love my necklace and have been wearing it nonstop! The bad news is that when I went to order more from her yesterday, it seems the shop is taking a short break. But add them to your Etsy favorites because her jewelry is gorgeous and you'll be using your purchasing power to create positive change in the world.

Stress Away Roller
This week I needed this more often than usual. I started using oils for emotional support and Stress Away became a stand out favorite early on. I got the roller, which is already diluted and perfect for carrying in your bag everywhere you go. Anytime I start to feel a little of that stress creeping in, I roll this onto my wrists and take a deep breath. It has a sweet yet limey scent that I can't really explain except to say I feel like I smell it when I'm on a beach with a drink in my hand. This is a necessity for me every week but especially this past one!

I didn't have many favorites this week because, in all honesty, this week was pretty sucky. But today and this weekend are supposed to be gorgeous weather wise so I'm hoping for an improved mood! Maybe I'll get my posts done and scheduled this weekend and have a better Friday Favorites for you next week. Here's hoping!
