Escape to Italia: Firenze in March Part 1

This is your part one of our Italian holiday recap! So sit back, grab an espresso and enjoy!

Florence is located in the Tuscany region of Italy. Our flight was in and out of Rome, so our first step after landing was getting on the train and taking the trip north east. We grabbed caffe and were on our way. It was generally pretty easy to navigate and once we got to Florence our hotel was only a hop, skip and a jump away from the station!

Hotel Cosimo de Medici's entrance was hidden in a nondescript alley in a section of town filled with plenty of eateries, making it a great place for a group of weary and hungry travelers. We walked out of the hotel after dropping our bags and found only a few steps away an adorable little eatery called Braciere Malatesta. With house wine by the liter and a delicious menu, our first dinner was quite a success.

Our hotel had a great free breakfast spread and once I had a little caffe and food, I was ready for exploring!

I tried to pack light for this trip, so many of my outfits went well with leggings! Knowing the weather would be cooler, I also packed two different color bomber jackets and my faux leather jacket to complete each look.

The first day I wore an adorable beret, cute tee shirt dress, black leggings and booties with my faux leather jacket. It was the perfect mix of comfy, casual and chic. (all items will be linked at the bottom)

We saw the Duomo, stumbled across an adorable little market, and took in all the beauty of Italian city streets. Midday Gelato was a must, and I had some delicious pizza for lunch as well.

It was rainy at this point so it was time for a nap before dinner!

That evening I changed into this adorable shirt I got on mega sale along with my black bomber jacket. We headed to Trattoria Zsa Zsa for dinner which was delish! Nothing better than a cheese plate, good wine, and a big bowl of pasta. Their apple cake was also AMAZING and reminded me so much of the one my Nonna bakes.

And, since it was St. Patty's Day, we also visited the Dublin Pub and a craft brewery for some brews to celebrate!

Stay tuned for more Firenze adventures + the rest of our adventures!
