Escape to Italia: Sorrento Part 2

This was one of my favorite days! And also one of the rainiest. Funny how that can work out, right?

The day started with amazzzzing breakfast at the hotel. Like seriously - probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had (they even had champagne for mimosas... score!)

We had a car service to drive us through the Amalfi Coast which was wonderful. Our driver, Michael, was supremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We had absolutely no plan of what we wanted to do, so he gave us suggestions and did a great job of making sure we were able to experience all the best on the Amalfi Coast.

We started with an olive oil tasting right in Sorrento at Gargiulo Oil Company, and along the trip stopped in towns like Positano and Amalfi, had the most delicious lunch right on the sea, explored a ceramics factory, and even got a chance to see how limoncello is made! I would definitely recommend the olive oil tour and limoncello stop if you are visiting the Amalfi Coast, as well as where we had lunch because it was beyonddddd delish. We ended up back at the hotel with bags full of delicious souvenirs! Brian and I got a few different kids of oils as well as balsamic glaze, pastries from Amalfi, limoncello, jams and even chocolate hazelnut spread (think nutella but homemade).

Our evening finished up with dinner at the hotel restaurant, which ended up being the perfect way to end the day and spend our last evening in Sorrento.

A tasting for 5 people. Yes, we tried them all! And they were all amazing!!!!!

Me & my oils <3
Rainy Positano was still absolutely breathtaking

One of the coolest things was the way nature had created masterpieces all around the coast. That is no statue - it is weathered rock shaped like a woman that just so happened to have an olive tree growing from it.

Probably one of my favorite pics from the trip - the color, the power of the sea, the setting. This is a small fishing village called Furore. An International Diving Competition is held here every year, off of the bridge we were standing on. And to that I say, "Oh hell no."

As soon as we were driving back to the hotel it stopped raining and we were able to see the most gorgeous sunset out our room balcony.
