Of all the many places I've been lucky enough to visit, the one I love the most has to be California. Until this point, I had only seen SoCal; San Diego, Carlsbad, Anaheim, and Santa Monica - but there is so much more to explore! So when I had the chance to travel to San Francisco and Big Sur, my heart was elated! I couldn't wait to see the mountainous coast line, take in the salty PCH air, and surround myself by towering trees. We spent the first day exploring picturesque San Francisco and hitting all the tourist spots; Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Tired from a long day of travel, we ended with a quiet dinner and prepared for our drive the next day down to Big Sur. With no real plan, we set out on the road and stopped along the way anywhere that caught our eye. From quiet beaches to the cutest luncheon spot, the drive was absolutely stunning and prepared us for the beauty we were sure to enjoy throughout...
This was one of my favorite days! And also one of the rainiest. Funny how that can work out, right? The day started with amazzzzing breakfast at the hotel. Like seriously - probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had (they even had champagne for mimosas... score!) We had a car service to drive us through the Amalfi Coast which was wonderful. We had absolutely no plan of what we wanted to do, so he gave us suggestions and did a great job of making sure we were able to experience all the best on the Amalfi Coast. We started with an olive oil tasting right in Sorrento at Gargiulo Oil Company , and along the trip stopped in towns like Positano and Amalfi, had the most delicious lunch right on the sea, explored a ceramics factory, and even got a chance to see how limoncello is made! I would definitely recommend the olive oil tour and limoncello stop if you are visiting the Amalfi Coast, as well as where we ha...

I am certainly appreciative of all the awesome trips I get to go on for my job, but these are for work after all, and many times business trips can leave you feeling drained and missing your loved ones. My two trips in January, or "Travel-uary" as I like to call it, are quickly approaching. This will be my third year doing this so I've learned a few of my own tips and tricks for staying happy and healthy during business travel. While this isn't foolproof and things don't always go as planned, I like to be prepared and try to plan as best as possible. 1. Pack healthy snacks and stock up on water in your hotel room This is the #1 Tip for a reason - you MUST stay hydrated and in reach of healthy...
