Friday Favorites: Volume 2
What is up? It is FRIDAY again, thank the Lord. After returning to work from a glorious Italian vacation I could not be happier that it is alllllmost the weekend.
I'm sharing some of my favorite things in Volume 2 of my Friday Favorites today! Did you see Volume 1? You can read it here! If you already saw it, did you try out any of my faves? I'd love to hear more about anything you loved, too!!!! Comment on this post or on social media, I wanna know!
Ok... back to it. Here are my Friday Favorites for this week!
1. LEKFIT - real talk. I've been trying to get more consistent with my workouts. This started before vacation with trying to get back into my running and some of my favorite at-home workout videos. But as I tried to do them, I felt bored. Like I had done them all before (because I had!). I needed something NEW to motivate me. I follow Busy Phillips on IG and this girl loves her LEKFIT so I decided to look into it. Basically, this chic dancer babe has put together a workout that encompasses a ton of strength moves into a fun and challenging workout. If you like barre class, pilates, ballet, etc. you will love LEKFIT. Bonus? They have a cardio class called 'Bounce' that incorporates a rebounder aka tiny trampoline. I have done the class without the rebounder and it is pretty intense, but I don't want to invest in new equipment until I know I am sticking to the workout. So for now, I'm doing Sculpt 3 mornings a week. They are intense and will make you verrrry sore and sweaty but I have been loving it! You can try a 7-day free trial of the streaming service and after that, it is only $19.99/month. Sweet! Check out more info here!
2. Old Navy Booties - Well, after the pair of cute black booties I ordered from ASOS were to big (returned them thanks to their awesome return service) I was in a state of panic. WHAT SHOES COULD I WEAR IN ITALY THAT WERE COMFY YET STYLISH. I headed to Old Navy the morning that we were traveling and found these guys. They were a faux suede olive tone that paired well with the outfits I was bringing so I got 'em. And I'm SO happy I did! They were surprisingly comfortable to walk in throughout much exploration on old, wobbly cobblestone roads. Plus, they looked fabulous! It looks like my olive color is not available online, but some sizes of black and also a creamy white 'bone' color are. Check them out - they are also on sale!
3. Savvy Minerals Bronzer - My new favorite makeup. If you know me, I'm a Tarte girl through and through. But in the recent months I've been doing even more digging into the products I am using on my skin and in my body - even more so than just if they test on animals. Some of my findings have been frightening. So, I wanted to find even more natural beauty products that don't have certain ingredients that could be hormone disruptors. Most of my Tarte products were pretty good, to be honest! But I decided to give Savvy Minerals a chance and I'm so happy I did. So far I've gotten the bronzer, bronzer brush, and the multitasker with doubles as eyeliner and eyeshadow. Today though, I want to focus on the bronzer. I got "Crowned All Over" and it basically creates an airbrushed look so my skin looks flawless. It has a slight shimmer to it, which I personally love, so it isn't matte. But if you're into a good highlight and a little shimmer this is the bronzer for you! It is light-weight, made of natural ingredients, and literally lasts all. day. long. Next I'm getting the foundation and blush! Let me know if you're interested in learning more, I have tons of info on Savvy Minerals!!!
Here I am in natural lighting with my Savvy Minerals on - no filters, no nothing!
EDIT// I've gotten a bunch of questions on the makeup so i'm going to share more info! You can learn more about everything here. You can read all about the products and ingredients and find your perfect shades. Then, when you want to get some of this goodness for yourself, I'd suggest the kit that comes with foundation, blush, 3 eye shadows, lip gloss, misting spray, foundation brush, and a 5ml bottle of Lavender Essential Oil. I know - that is A LOT of product for only $150 - it is kind of crazy. Sign up for the kit here! <3
