Friday Favorites 3-9-18
I keep thinking it is still February. Maybe it is because we continue to be pummeled in the North East by terrible snow storms, or maybe it is because it is 6:00AM and I haven't had my coffee yet.
Either way, here I am. I've decided I want to do a consistent (as possible) feature on the blog of things that were my favorite from the current week. Friday - Friday. Things that I've experienced, maybe eaten, read, heard, seen.
So here we go! Hope you like them, too <3
Friday Favorites // Week of March 9, 2018
1. The Goal Digger Podcast - with Jenna Kutcher
Maybe it is because I've got some sort of wild, pent up spirit inside of me, or maybe I just like the calm yet enthusiastic demeanor of the show's host, but The Goal Digger Podcast has been a favorite of mine for a while and I needed to share that with others because it is so worth a listen. It has been happening for quite some time now, so there are plennnnty of episodes to catch up on. There are guests from all different industries and walks of life. If you're someone who is a dreamer, a planner, or just need a little voice of motivation and encouragement in your life, give this a listen. There are short episodes, there are long episodes (great for my commute), and Jenna Kutcher touches on everything from business savvy to what is holding you back in life to how she built a six-figure income starting from just buying a camera and leaving her corporate job. She has also experienced two miscarriages and is extremely thoughtful and eloquent in her approach to sharing her story with her listeners. Browse her episodes - I am sure there is something that will speak to you in there!
2. ASOS $19 2-Day Shipping
I'll admit that I'm a procrastinator. So something I've always loved is super fast shipping (Amazon, Zappos, like FAST). I recently discovered that paying a one time fee of $19 on ASOS gives you unlimited 2-Day shipping (from the UK!) for a year. This came in super handy for me this week because I leave for Italy soon and have not really been super dedicated to planning what I'm going to wear. In my head, it was all dresses and sunshine breezes and then it SNOWED in ROME this week and I've had to come up with a new plan. ASOS was there for me, as it always is. I mean, seriously, if you've never browsed asos.com before please go do so now. They have the best sales and clothing of every style and price. Returns are SUPER simple (which reminds me I have 2 things I need to send back today!) so even if you're unsure of sizing, you can always return for free.
Sneak peek at some of the vacation goodies I snagged:

3. Girl, Wash Your Face - By: Rachel Hollis
"Stop believing in the lies about who you are so you can become who you were meant to be."
I implore you - whether you've got a 10 minute commute to work or 60+ minutes like me - to get this book on Audible (do the free trial) and get ready to have your mind, heart, and emotions checked upon. Like... seriously. Within a few minutes I was close to tears. This lady was speaking so much truth into my heart! I listened to this book the entire way to work. The entire way home. And then while I walked the dogs. And then while I cooked dinner. And I'm so looking forward to popping her on again as I drive to work this morning, possibly even looking forward to my commute?
She makes you think hard about the things you do every day that are affecting your life, your happiness, and the level of contentment you have with yourself and your relationships. I loved her analogy about missing workouts. It made me cry because, my God, I am that person. I am the person who proclaims that I'm starting a new workout routine or a new meal plan or WHATEVER and then after a week or two I'm off the wagon and then the process begins again. And who am I hurting with that kind of whack promise breaking? Just myself. (I've copied an excerpt that she posted on her IG for you to read).
So..... yea... I mean there has been a lot of things I've connected with and I just really, really, really think this should be required reading for all my ladies out there.
